DANANG AB, Republic of Vietnam - Located in Gunfighter Village was Dining Hall number three. The chow hall crew doesn't get the credit they deserve. The Mess Chief at Danang would save steaks for us, so we could eat well when we returned from our missions. He believed our flying around the base perimeter when we returned,with the spotlight on, kept The VC at bay; and it was worth feeding the crews at the odd hours when they returned to base. They did a great job feeding us over there.
