Dreux AB, France - Taken in 1955, this old photograph of the 60th Field Maintenance Squadron has an interesting backdrop. In the background is aircraft 53-8155, assigned to the 10th Troop Carrier Squadron. This 119 (or twin fan spam can as it was known back then) was one of the 119s converted to a Shadow Gunship. For many years airman, associated with the 119 in the early years, never knew it had been converted to a gunship that fought in the Vietnam War. The photograph's donor is holding the squadron flag.
