Wayne Mutza Needs Information for New Book

The AC-119 Gunship site is an excellent site, a real tribute to the Shadows and Stingers. I am researching them in preparation for a book devoted to their history. Would like to hear from anyone willing to provide information and photo material.  Also seeking photo material depicting aircraft in SEA. All is copied, credited and returned. Books I've completed can be found at Schifferbooks.com and Amazon.com sites. Wayne Mutza Wayne Mutza at waynewrite@miliserv.net

Larry Davis is working on New Gunship Book

What I need are several contacts that I can interview about missions - where, dates, into NVN, Trail defenses encountered, equipment and how it worked (or didn't work), advantages over the AC-47, training, deployment, etc.
And I'm looking for new photos. I still have quite a few that I used in my book "Gunships" for Squadron-Signal. I wrote that one back in 1984 and it needs updating, correcting, and new photos. I have an article coming out in Wings Of Fame magazine sometime early next year. It will be a further development of the basic thing I did for Squadron-Signal, minus the extraneous stuff on the Neptune gunships and AC-123X, which really wasn't a gunship at all.
Also need patches from the units and flights. But these can be color xeroxes that are easily done at Office Max or Kinkos, etc. I look forward to hearing from you and your guys. Larry Davis Squadron-Signal Email address SabreClsx@aol.com

Information Needed on Shootdown
of Spooky 21

I am looking for information anyone might be able to share about an AC-47 tail#45-1120, Call sign SPOOKY21- lost during a TIGER HOUND mission over Laos, Christmas Eve 1965.
Her crew: JEFFORDS, EILERS, THORTON, HASSENGER, CHRISTIANO, and COLWELL. Maydays were heard by several USAF Venus pilots C. BROWN & J. SPILLMAN.
If you were stationed in DaNang in that timeframe, knew any of these men, or the Spooky crew, perhaps you were involved in the SAR efforts?....ANY information you might have or remember would be deeply appreciated! Please contact me @ 412-466-2142 Thank you!
Respectfully, Victoria Campbell
